Prof. Al-Mazrou finished his medical school at King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1994. He completed his board in Otolaryngology in 2000 and Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship from USA in 2004.
He joined back King Saud University as a faculty in 2004 and moved to National Guard Healthcare in 2007 to be the Head of ENT at National Guard for several years. He established the 1st ever comprehensive Cochlear Implant Program at National Guard back in 2007 to be one of the largest in the Middle East. He also designed and commissioned the 1st Pediatric Cochlear Implant Center in Saudi Arabia at King Abdullah Specialized Children Hospital. He was the 1st at the Gulf region to do bilateral simultaneous cochlear implant back in 2009 in very young children.
He also has interest in pediatric airway diseases, vascular anomalies, speech surgeries, and pediatric rhinology. His a fellow and member of many professional societies including the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, Society of Ear, Nose, & Throat Advances in Children and others.
He has published many papers in peer reviewed journals and currently a reviewer in the JAMA Otolaryngology, Int. Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, Annals of Thoracic Medicine Journal and others.
